What I Wore | All My Favorite Ethical Brands In One Outfit

Aaaaaaand I’m back in the bathroom. Are you new around here? Are you wondering why all my photos are taken in a bathroom mirror? (ALSO HI. WELCOME.) It’s because I am a real human person and I like to share the outfits that I actually wear in the scenarios where I actually wear them. So, at my office or in my living room. Sometimes you might get a special little outfit shoot for a specific product review, but please know that even those photos are taken by my non-photographer husband on my trusty Google Pixel 2.

So, about the outfit. This outfit is the definition of my personal uniform. White top. Black bottoms. Feels like home. Every single thing that I’m wearing right now is a closet hero, and these are some of the most worn items in my entire wardrobe from my very favorite ethical brands.

Top: Tradlands Elms Shirt ($167 $111, wearing size S, gifted) – This is the cream of the crop in terms of white oxfords. It’s probably my favorite shirt out of anything that I own (in close competition with my VETTA Capsule Boxy Blouse). My husband and I were talking about Tradlands last night, and he said that he loved the feel of Tradlands clothes and he wished that actual menswear felt as good as Tradlands’ menswear inspired pieces. If that’s not a great recommendation, I don’t know what is.

This top is currently on sale with an additional 30% off, meaning that for the next 24 hours, you can get it for $111. Tradlands offers this style all year round, but it is never going to cost as little as it does right now, so if you’ve been thinking about it and they have your size in stock, I say run, don’t walk. Use code SALE30. Sale ends at midnight on 1/18/2019. (Save 15% on your first Tradlands order any time of year with my personal discount code, goblinshark15)

Pants: VETTA Capsule Peg Pant ($129, wearing size 2) – These are my favorite work pants and I get compliments on them all. the. time. VETTA is a brand that I have a cult-like obsession with. They create 5-piece mini capsule wardrobes that can be used to create 30 different outfits (because most of the items can be converted or worn in multiple ways) and the garments are all made in ethical factories and with sustainable or deadstock material.

These pants are currently sold out, but the recently released Every Day Pant from the Edgy Capsule look like a good alternative. My lovely friends over at Bill + Jay Clothing also make a similar pair called the Kate Pant, which I love and wear regularly.

Shoes: Everlane Day Boot ($225, wearing size 6, gifted) – These are my favorite shoes. I only have three pairs of shoes in my winter capsule, but I wear these at least 70% of the time. Basically, if it’s not raining, I’m wearing these boots. You can read my review of them here. The Bronze and Burgundy colors are on sale for $134 in Everlane’s Choose What You Pay section.

That’s all for outfit talk today, friends. It’s getting late and my alarm goes off at 4:45am these days (did I make an unrealistic New Year’s resolution to go rock climbing every day at 6am? HELL YEAH I DID).
